FAQ
No.
Think about it like this. Your online presence is the foundation for your digital marketing. If your online presence stinks, your digital marketing will too. The better your online presence is, the more effective your digital marketing will be.
The ultimate goal is to have an online presence established so well that you don’t have to spend as much (or any) money on digital marketing.
There are two reasons.
1. Guess who else is on Facebook? EVERYONE.
Your potential customer is bombarded every day with messages they don’t care about on Facebook. This means they tune out anything that sounds like an advertisement.
An inbox is a special place. It’s reserved for messages that the reader is actually interested in and will actually look at.
2. Once someone gives you their email address, you own it. FOREVER. (Unless they unsubscribe. Don’t harass people.) People leave their facebook accounts or are locked out of their social media accounts all the time. Meaning you have no way to communicate.
Yes, you can.
Those platforms have a lot to offer. Unfortunately, they are also very limited.
(I have used Wix and Weebly in the past.)
One of the biggest issues I see with them is that you don’t own any of it. If you decide that you’d like to change your hosting, you have to build an entirely new website because you can’t bring the old one with you.
If you want your website to grow with your business for the long haul, then wordpress is the way to go. We use wordpress because of the almost unlimited functionality and customization options that are available.
Note: You will have a higher up front cost with wordpress, but lower ongoing expenses versus drag and drop builders like Wix, Weebly, Squarespace, Etc.
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. Search engines are Google, Bing, Duck Duck Go, etc.
To put it plainly, SEO is anything that helps search engines find you and decide how relevant you are to a specific search topic.
Why does this matter?
Most people don’t look past the first or second page of a search engine’s results. If you aren’t showing up on the first two pages, then most people will never find you in a search. That’s a big deal because 93% of online experiences begin with a search engine.
The biggest SEO asset you have are the words on your website. That’s why it’s important to be clear about what you offer and how you help people.
ABSOLUTELY!
It doesn’t matter what line of work you are in. If you need customers, then you need an online presence.
More people than ever are researching companies online before ever talking with them. That includes reading reviews of past customers. And on top of all that, if your website and social media accounts don’t look like they’ve been maintained or are just unprofessional, they’ve already decided that you can’t be trusted. Ouch.
Most likely your issues are caused by the following:
- Outdated website
- Website is not mobile friendly
- The text on your website needs to be updated
- You’re not being clear in your messaging
- You’re not consistent in your social media posting
- What you’re posting on social media isn’t relevant
- People can’t find you online
Don’t give up on your website and social media. They are two of your biggest assets. Take the time and make the investment to get them running at optimal levels.

Absolutely not! You need a website that is clear and to the point. In our opinion, most of the bells and whistles on a lot of websites only cause confusion and actually hurt your business.
